About

Experience. Excellence. Distinction.

History

Our team is led by founder Tom Combs, an experienced veteran peace officer with significant investigative experience and training. Teton Investigative and Protective Services was founded in 2010, originally as Intermountain Private Investigations (IPI). IPI focused on serious injury and fatal vehicle collision investigation and reconstruction. Tom remained active in law enforcement until retiring from the profession in 2017, and in 2018, IPI became Teton Protective Group as the focus of the business became more asset and individual protection oriented. In March of 2022, a growing need for providing a multitude of services became apparent, so we chose a name that was inclusive of all the things we do, hence we are now Teton Investigative and Protective Services (TIPS). TIPS provides the highest level of professionalism and excellence. Our main concern is providing the pinnacle of professional service with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Our team is comprised of current and/or retired law enforcement officers who will immediately earn your trust and confidence. We have contacts worldwide in many areas of law and investigation and can provide additional experts with ease.
